There are estimated about 20 Species of Bowerbird, in which there are many different colours. The Bowerbird is known for its elaborate behaviour. During breeding season, males build a special platform, called a bower, on the forest floor to lure females, and they decorate it with rare objects such as feathers and shiny bits of glass, colours depending on the colour the Bower bird chooses and when building its nest it cant have any other colour except that one colour, this colour is mostly blue but can be yellow, if a Bowerbird thinks it can seduce a female with pink rather than blue they can choose and will decorate the Bower the way it wants. The Bower is shaped like a hut and everything has to be presented correctly, it is the tastes and fancies of the females that the Males have to create according to what they think the females will like. Once they have there nest decorated they do various vocalizations, hopping, and tail-bobbing, this attracts a females attention which leads to mating, the mood must be right for love. The Females go around judging how the males decorarating skills and chooses the best to mate with, the more impressive and colour categorized the bower is the more attractive she’ll find him and the more likely the female will choose that particular male to mate with. Also birds like peacocks and the widow bird which show of their beautifully coloured feathers to attract the female of the species.
